WebYep

Hi
I have set up a website for a client using WebYep for CMS. I have set this up with text and pictures.
The problem is when the client doesn’t have a picture WebYep doesn’t c;so the gap making the page ugly.
Also on some of the entries the format I set up for the text is not followed.
Anyone have any ideas on this?

Regards
Kevin

It looks like the element #item8 has a fixed dimension of 164x139. That and the fact that there are empty

that also have height, both of which contribute to the gap.

If possible, try removing the hard-coded dimensions above. Otherwise dynamically checking the elements for content and if empty removing or hiding them is another, albeit hands-on, alternative.

One of the important things to know in every CMS is what styles are and how they work. Fortunately, good talk-mate Caleb wrapped this in a nice article and I’m pretty sure that this will help a lot:

Regarding the images, I’m sure as well that there is a neat trick to collapse this to nil (if it isn’t needed) - honestly I forgot about all the WY stuff. But I’m sure if Max is in (or you drop him a short line) - he’ll have a look into it.

Cheers
