Then you will need to apply a style now and add the extended attribute text-decoration:none to it

Try this:
Go into your inspector palette, I’ll assume you’re using 5, and click on the paintbrush icon and choose the links drop down arrow and then at the bottom of that click more. Then add your chosen colors for your link styles and add a “style” part from the selectable drop downs for the “link” and “visited” sections and then leave it blank (nothing selected).
Freeway will output the two link styles to have a text-decoration of none. If you wanted to choose different colors for different sections then you’d select those sections first and then apply the link style to them from the drop down.
That should work.

Well. it’s not easy att all.
Just to get rid of unwanted underlines takes hours (following the advice above: defining new styles; adding extended: text-decoration: none) but to no avail.
In “View source” there are only 3 links underlined as they should be;
so why can’t I get rid of thoses underlines??
Although FRW is a certainly powerful tool, it is too easy to get stuck with those kind of tricky tiny awkward things;

Now, I got rid of those unwanted underlines: but it seems to be a bug!
When adding (extended: text-decoration: none) to the top-most item on the page, which was plagued by it, all unwished for underlines disappeared… sweat sweat;
now I have to dring something strong & nice!
(no worriesonly green tea!)

Did you try the Inspector method (if FW 5)?
Select the Page on which the links occur (not an Item), by clicking
on a blank area.
Select the Brush Icon, second from left, on the Inspector and you
will see Links at the bottom. (Click on the disclosure triangle to
open, if necessary).
Click on the little underlined ‘u’ button to toggle underlining off
and on for each state.
