Wierd Characters across bottom of screen

Hello,
I have one FW page which has weird “chinese-looking” characters across the base of the screen.

VIEW SOURCE in my browser (Safari) shows nothing in the coding to explain it. See http://www.guyenne-immobilier.co.uk/listman/exec/search.cgi

I have copied VIEW SOURCE from the screen and placed it in my own HTML coding software and, Voila !! the little characters show.

I cannot get rid of them - so it looks like a clean page is needed. I can email a screenshot, if helpful

Thanks for looking.

I can see the characters in the source in Safari, they’re outside of
the HTML tag. Is the page being created from a script or have you just
change the filename to search.cgi? If it’s a script then that could be
adding them. Also, there was a case a while back where the server was
creating errant characters on pages, are the characters there when you
preview from Freeway?

Hello Joe,
Thanks for the rapid response.

  1. No, no script being used.
  2. Yes, I changed the page name from _asearchxxxxxxx to _searchxxxxx (_asearch was a test page for checking code, _search is live for the dbase)

No sign of the weird characters in PREVIEW.

So that suggests the server may have added them. The dbase installation was to a new Mac server in Miami which encountered a hiccup. That satisfies me as the hiccup was a one off. I will redo the page - as all other pages are clean.

Again - thanks
This Forum is really useful and appreciated.
