Will FW5 run on my G3 iMac?

Hello everyone

I have a G3 500MHz iMac (one of the last of the egg-shaped iMacs),
running Mac OS X v10.4.11. Will I be able to run the Freeway 5 beta
on my computer? I think my computer meets the system requirements but
I just wondered whether Freeway 5 will be intolerably slow. By the
way I normally have no speed problems with FW4.

One other question: how big is the FW5 download? I use a 56k modem,
so I can only download 15MB per hour.

Download and try it, we still still have a 600mhz iMac in the office (used occasionally), and still runs OSX 10.4.11 and few major apps albeit slowly.

Safari’s Downloads window reports it as being 31.9MB, so that would
mean at least two hours, assuming no problems happened during the
download process. I suggest seeing whether you can download it at
some Internet cafe and burn it to CD or put it on a USB memory stick.

I tried it on a 350MHZ G3 B&W PowerMac with 768MB of memory and it worked well, amazingly well, actually. Very useable.
