I made a little test page over the weekend to try to work out for myself how the New York Times’ definition system works. If you haven’t seen that, it’s quite nice. Highlight a word, and a little widget appears to click for a definition of that word. I’m not sure if it’s used on every page, but I found it because I was reading an article and didn’t recognize the word, so I wanted to use the system Dictionary to look it up.
