Over a year ago, I redesigned the UI for Dropshare. As part of my payment, I got four licenses to give away, which I promptly forgot about.
So, today, I’d like to get 'em out there. I’m already giving two licenses away on Twitter, but wanted to hold a couple back for my old friends here on Freewaytalk. If you want a chance as winning one of these, just reply to this thread and I’ll draw names for the two licenses tomorrow at noon.
And if you want to increase your chances, go this tweet.
I’d like to thank you as well for your generous gift, happy being on the winner side of life. A pity that we somehow lost contact - presumably not to change anyway.
I know you’re a lover of history. Whenever I break into your region, be sure I’m taking part of one of those historical battle replays - perhaps as a german soldier - one of the 48ers, who knows?
Thomas, yeah, I find that my professional work keeps moving further and further away from what Freeway is well suited for, which makes it hard to remember to check Freewaytalk. I’ll still be in every now and then. If you ever come over and participate in a reenactment, let me know; there were lots of German immigrants who enlisted during the war, it would be great to see that represented.
Same here (pretty off). What is it you’re using these days?
Well, it looks like Freewaytalk ate my lengthy response, so here’s an abbreviated version: I hand code almost everything. A lot of my projects now require a strong CMS and a lot of custom logic, so I spend most of my time writing PHP. Here’s what I’ve got in my toolbox:
Atom for writing code.
Mindnode for planning, UX design, and even task management.
Codekit for Sass, Autoprefixer, and live reloading.
