ActionsForge Kickstarter donation support + extra incentive

I am bumping this back up to to the top of the forum because in my eyes this proposal/project shouldn’t be ignored and fail to get started. We have just 3 days left!!!
The realities are that Walter has contributed enormously to the whole of the freeway community and in return he is asking for everyone just to donate a little bit of cash towards developing and enhancing the free to use actionsforge site http://www.actionsforge.com/ (remember this is the site that everyone gets most of there free actions from).
Without Walters extremely hard work and help, most of us would be floundering about and that goes for the Pro freeway users as well as the new to the software users.

I know I have spent literally hundreds of hours helping others out and thats a minuscule amount compared to Walter, Tim, Joe, and all the others who selflessly contribute… so seeing that there is just 3 more days before the project fails to get the support I believe it deserves… I am asking all those that have been helped out on this forum to think about what would happen if people like Walter were not around to help us all out…
So come on everyone just ten dollars from everyone would mean that the actionsforge site could be developed to the benefit of the whole freeway community
AND as an extra incentive for anyone who donates 100 dollars or more then I will give you the WebYep CMS suite action for FREE.

You can pledge what ever you can afford here:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1513153421/actionsforge-next

and the original thread can be read and seen here:

All the best
Max

As developers, all of you have saved many hours and created better websites using Freeway actions. Have you contacted your many clients about this drive? Explain to them how their billed hours have been reduced and the quality of their sites improved due to the efficiencies and design tools provided by this resource. Ask them to contribute something to support the effort!

I just kicked in what I could, but I think the project period should be extended. I don’t have time to come to this board regularly, so only now learned of it. There may be others like this, too.

I up’ed from 10 to $25. That’s it for me!

I would have not taken a gift but someone said that interfers with the process…?

The only thing it interferes with is the list of pledges on the home page. It’s not like the money doesn’t apply to the total.

Thanks for any pledge you can make. If this goes through, it will be a testament to the devotion of this community to itself. The primary question this answers for me is, “Do we, as a community, deserve to have nice things that work really well?”

We all really need to get behind this project. I’m sure Walter will agree that any amount that you can contribute, regardless of the amount, is helpful. We just need to get everyone behind this project.

For me, this was absolutely a “no brainer”. I cannot begin to tell you how many times Walter, and the other members of this forum have helped me out and nothing pleases me more than to be able to return the favor.

It’s time to ante up. Give what you can, but do it soon, because time is running out.

That’s my few (nay lot’s) beers worth (don’t drink it all at once). Good Luck Walter.

I’m thinking the larger percentage of general Freeway users might not know what actions are let alone 3rd party actions or even visit Freewaytalk to know to chip.

Can’t SP Towers do something BIG on their homepage for a few days? I know it’s a long shot, but a few extra viewers are better than none.

I only visit this forum occasionally though am determined to do so more than I do now. I’m struck yet again by the amazing support when you need it. I’m glad I did visit otherwise I might have missed this. I use Actions Forge and the only things I find frustrating are the very things Walter is wanting to change. If only there was a way to get this out to the whole Freeway community, I’m sure collectively we would get there.

Here’s hoping and good luck Walter!

Here’s where we stand:

Barring a miracle, in the form of one of the large commercial sponsors I contacted actually coming through, this is not looking possible. We shall see by end of day tomorrow…

Hey Walter

Why does http://www.ineedwebhosting.co.uk only show $25 when I pledged a lot more?

And why am I the only named contributor? In your screenshot?

Ahh… Doh! Sorry it’s the referrer (where the contributor came from). So the email shot I sent did generate something at least.
