This is just a MailChimp form to sign you up to a mailing list, and I won’t be sending much (if any) mail. I’m using their great (and free) service to gather a list of who wants to pledge how much.
If we get a respectable amount of interest through this form, I will push the button on a new Kickstarter project, scaled similarly to the first one.
We got just over 100 pledges, at an average of $136, for a total of $12,332. (Softpress pledged ~40% of that total). If we had another 200 pledges (and at the rate we were going near the end, that doesn’t seem at all unreasonable) then we could hit the funding goal easily and without everyone having to “give until it hurst”. This should be easy for us, as long as the word gets out there.
Please pledge early and often, as they say in Chicago, and tell everyone you know. I will get some banner ads on the sites in my network (and FreewayTalk, if Softpress agrees). If you have a site, please link to this form.
Not sure if it is just me but tried to pre - pledge and i did not receive my email verification email, and the address i used on the form is correct ???
It took about a minute for my verification to come thru - maybe me.com is
having issues?

Just to be clear, all this is is MailChimp checking that your e-mail can receive a message. I got your “You have a new subscriber” message, you can ignore everything else.

Now i have two verification emails, the first verification came in after the second pledge???
Hi Walt, like many others I received the message via Softpress today (I’m constantly on the road with no spare bandwidth!), I have tried to click through your form but have no response, the link doesn’t appear to be doing anything!
On the other hand, if it is, please count only one of the two hundred attempts!
I tried to make a pledge but nothing happened. Not sure if it went through or not.
I don’t want to be clicking away too many times but certainly there is no indication that the pledge went through.
Hope that this can build on the momentum from the failed kickstarter project.

Try again, I found a pledge that had a dollar sign in it, and that threw off all of the fancy formatting for the thermometer bar. Nothing like the real world to debug your code…
