Joe Billings just alerted me to the fact that the Forge RSS feed,
which shows the latest versions of everything in the system, is
marking its entire contents as unread each time any new versions get
uploaded to the Forge.
I just made a change, switching the feed source over to Google’s
Feedburner service, and hopefully this will fix things for anyone who
had noticed the problem.
There’s a slight chance that you will notice a change in your feed
reader whenever it checks the feed the next time, because I put a 301
redirect on the server to point requests over to the new service. I
can’t be sure, given the wide spread of different ways to consume
feeds, whether this will impact you or not. So fore-warned…
Seems to be working so far. What seemed to be occurring, not sure if Joe went into it, was that it kept duplicating the entries.
So when an action was released it would create an entry and then it would duplicate all of the other entries saying they had been updated too or that something was “new” about them. I sent this issue first off to the people at Postbox and they said it was a feed issue. So as releases hit the RSS Feed it kept duplicating everything.
What would also be great is if there was a way to locate how to follow the site via RSS. Maybe an RSS button or a link to follow the site through RSS. I couldn’t find one in Google Chrome till I loaded up Safari and saw the RSS button the address bar.
Please clear everything (mark all as read) in your reader. I’m going
to post a new Action in a couple of moments, so it would be
interesting to see whether the problem persists.

New version just posted, so maybe we get a good test of this?

Hopefully also, again, some way for people to see that there is a feed at all. Nothing shows up in Google Chrome like it does in Safari’s address bar so I had no clue.
Some graphic or link or some text to say “Stay Updated via RSS!”.
