Add audio to exhibeo

Can I attach an MP3 audio file to an exhibeo xw component file?

Grateful for any info

Hi Tony,

Can you expand on what it is you’re trying to do? Are you trying to create a slideshow with a background soundtrack, or do you want each slide to have its own soundtrack, or something else?

Hi Jeremy

Thanks for the prompt reply

I would like an xwcomponent slideshow with a bg soundtrack.

As it is now, I create a page that includes an xwcomponent and a mp3 where both play when opened.

For example, open https://seeworthybirds.com/arizona-birds.html and click on the Scenic Arizona button to see how I have set this up. This works ok, but I thought it would be more better if one could just create a link that opens and plays an xwcomponent with an mp3 embedded (?) in the slide show.

As I have created three xwcomponents for Costa Rica, I think it would seem more efficient to just open them w/o having to create three separate page analogous to how I have done for Arizona and several other places.

Is this mostly clear?

Hi Tony,

Thanks for that example.

Exhibeo doesn’t currently support adding a background soundtrack, although I can see that might be a nice feature for slideshow galleries.

I notice that the slideshow starts automatically on your page, but the soundtrack doesn’t, and I’m not sure that it’s possible to have a background soundtrack play automatically on all browsers. Some browsers will block this from happening.

Hi Jeremy

Thanks again for your prompt response

Yes… a background soundtrack for exhibeo galleries would be a nice feature, but the user should have the option to turn it off.

Also, it would be nice to be able to reduce font size for titles and captions for viewing on an iPhone, but maybe this is asking for too much.

The soundtrack on scenic Arizona is set to auto play and does start automatically for me. I assume you are seeing it and can turn it on.

Thanks again for all your help
