Has anyone made an action to add a commented string immediately before whatever div it is applied to? It would be very handy when sending someone code for them to use in the traditional way. It sounds like a dead-simple thing (apply only to layered objects, sanity-check for unsafe chars, insert user’s text within comment wrapper) - but I’m spinning so many plates at the moment that I can’t take time even to learn this (probably) simple trick.
Try the TagWrap Action, available wherever fine Actions are sold.

Hi Keith,
I’ve added this as a feature in another action where I was using
Freeway to create a template that others needed to find their way
around in the source code.
It basically comments all of the divs on the page. If you want a copy
let me know and I’ll isolate the bits you need and make a new action
for you.
Regards,
Tim.

Oh, and there’s a Comment Action as well. You might like that because
it automatically puts start: and end: on the text you enter in its
dialog at the beginning and end of any structural item.
<!-- start: this is a comment -->
<div id="item1" style="position:absolute; left:219px; top:113px; width:
307px; height:111px; z-index:1; font-size:1px">
</div>
<!-- end: this is a comment -->
