I guess it’s time when you upload to my host it it takes time to update.

Thank you for helping me but I have a question how do I put in a counter so I can tell how many people has gone to my website?

Hi Marty1,

I think this is normally done by signing up for a monitoring service (such as Google Analytics) and adding a script of some kind.

If you have a script that you want to use, I can tell you how to add it in Xway.

Open question (for anyone to answer): What do other Xway users recommend?

I use Statcounter, it’s mostly free and has a lot of useful analytics, including bot identification.

There are 2+ ways to do this:

  1. You can add markup via the Generic Markup section of the Page Inspector. This allows you to add content at different places on a page (e.g. within the head section).
  2. If you want to add markup to the layout area of a page, you can use markup items to do this (choose Markup from the Insert menu).

I would guess that you probably want to do (1). Do you have a script and some instructions on how to use it?

Xway is an HTML generator, not an HTML editor.

The way to add HTML or JavaScript snippets to an Xway page is to add them as markup.

There is a chapter on Markup in the Xway User Guide. To view the Xway User Guide, choose Xway User Guide from the Help menu (in Xway).
