I tried a PNG file doing “save for web” and selecting 24-bit and selecting transparency, but when I brought it into animator the full image still was there and not just the alpha channel selection. Not sure what I’m missing>
Hi Bob,
I’ve tried this with both Easy Web Animator 2 and 3 and they both appear to respect the transparency setting in the PNG file. Here’s a brief video showing the image in Photoshop and me placing it and animating it in EWA3; http://users.softpress.com/tim/ewa2.mov
Check your PNG by opening it back up in Photoshop to see if the background is solid or not. Maybe try this with my test graphic (http://users.softpress.com/tim/red-ball.png) and see if that works. If it does then it would suggest something is wrong with your PNG. If it still fails to display then we need to track down what it could be on your system that is causing this and you’ll need to open a support ticket over on the web site to best get this resolved; http://www.softpress.com/kb/contact.php
Regards,
Tim.

Hey Tim,
Super and may I be so bold as to include Duper!
It worked. Thanks for that video demo.
I was starting out in Photoshop with and image
and its alpha channel and then saving it as a PNG,
expecting the alpha channel to do all the work.
After seeing your video I copied the selection and
pasted into a new doc with transparency as background,
and imported it into Animator and there was my silhouetted selection with no background.
