Another Transition FX Slide Down/Slide Up Question??

Hi All

Do you mind looking at http://www.theofficebureau.com/terms_of_use/terms_of_use.html and letting me know what I’ve done wrong. The settings are as follows:

For page load: Page Load - Not Ticked

For on trigger: On Trigger - ticked; Effect - Slide Down; Toggle - ticked; Duration - 0.5; Delay - 0; Item - terms1A; Initially Hidden - ticked; Trigger On - Click

It’s easier if you look at the problem. Hint - click on ALL 14 and you’ll see what I mean.

Any ideas as to why??

Regards

Lee

Can you be a bit more specific as to what you are experiencing - is it browser related?

Hi David

If you try the page you’ll see.

If you click on points 1 to 5, then the answer to number 5 slides down. Point 6 slides down and stays there, also slides up on page load. Points 7 to 11 work as they should do but don’t slide up when point 12 slides down. Point 12 is the same as 6. Point 13/14 works OK

In a nutshell thats the problem.

Have just tried it on a Windows laptop using IE and it worked as it should do ALL of it. Under Firefox had the problem. On my iMac under Opera works as it should do but not with Firefox or Safari.

Does that help??

Hi Lee,

It looks like you’re missing a float:left on “terms5”. All the other
items are floated other than that which is essentially causing it to
start at the top of the container and finish at the bottom of
“terms5”. Set the Float option to Left and that should fix that problem.

The same applies to “terms6A” which is why that looks weird when
sliding and then can’t be closed (it overlaps “terms6”).

The same applies to “terms12A” - this then overlaps everything up
until the last non floated item (“terms6A”) which is why nothing
between 6 and 12 can be triggered once “terms12A” has opened.

“terms13A” has a mouseover effect on it which is usually triggered
once it has been opened resulting in some strangeness.

Fix those and you should be all set!

Hi Joe & David

I must go and get some new glasses or stop drinking while I’m building a website. In fact may do both.

Thanks for your help.
