Any problems with OS 10.10 or 10.11?

I am currently using Mountain Lion and only now am beginning to find software I need to use that requires an upgrade. I thought I would go ahead and go all in to Sierra but reviewing the thread here (Information for existing FreewayTalk / Groups.io users - Site Feedback - Softpress Talk), that may not be the way to go.

I could just go up a couple of versions but I have no info as to compatibility. Are there any problems with 10.10 or 10.11 that I need to know about? I use 5.6.5 Pro and am on a late 2012 iMac i7.
