I have a large and very complex site with lots of includes and
additional files and tweaks.
I have to make changes to the home [index] page.
The site was last edited in a previous version of Freeway and EVERY page
is “dirtied”.
I would be very circumspect about doing a full update because it might
break some of the includes and tweaks.
I propose to create a s single page FW document making had links where
there were originally only internal links.
The publish the site to a new site folder and carefully update the
original site by copying items one-by one.
Does anyone have comments that I should take into consideration here?

Best wishes Peter

I would duplicate the FW file and set it to publish to a new site folder.
Delete all but the index page, make the changes and publish to the new site folder.
Replace old index page with new and add extra resources from the new site folder via FTP
You will have to be careful about the FW created file/image names. What exactly are you changing - if just text then there shouldn’t be any issues.

Hi David,
Yup, exactly what I did.
I had to make some changes to the home page and add some supplemental
support pages.
Freeway together with Interarchy, my preferred FTP client worked
perfectly. Avoided the soft verges!
Cheers Peter
