background graphic within html box and undefined height

hi there

looking for an answer to this, I have a html box used in a box model design, what I want to achieve is a background graphic (designed in photoshop) which expands as the text grows. Ive got this to work with undefined height but the graphic vanishes on publish unless in inspector you add colour to the graphic properties, happy with that but when you set the opacity to its lowest 1% there is a bleed of colours ie the one with the opacity on top of the page background. Is there any other way of doing this?

Do you mean you want more of the background to be revealed as the box grows? That should work with any graphic set as a CSS background, but if you mean you want the graphic to warp its self to the new dimension I don’t think that is possible for a CSS background.
