Type of Action: Page Action (to use it, make sure nothing is selected on the page, go to Page>Page Actions to choose the Action from the list).

What the Action can do: This Action lets you do the following:
  • It lets you play an audio file on page load.
  • It lets you choose to play the audio file just once or to loop it over and over.
This Action allows you to make an audio file play when a page loads in a browser. We recommend that you use it sensibly, however, as many visitors find it can be annoying if music starts to play automatically on a site page (especially if those visitors are listening to music on their computer through headphones or speakers).

To use the Action, make sure nothing is selected on the page then go to Page>Page Actions and choose Background Sound. With nothing selected on the page you can see the options in the Actions palette:


  • Sound file: Click and hold on this popup, choose Select…, then navigate to the audio file you wish to use on the page and click Open.
  • Loop: Choose whether the audio file plays just once (by using False) or whether it repeats over and over (by using True).
