best theme for variety of pictures

Hi there, newbie with some handicaps here. I’m an artist with a broad variety of work I want in a gallery. My work contains landscape and portrait and square formats. I like to know at which maximum heightxwidth px I must prepare it to have all shown as whole in an Exhibeo gallery. They all need a line of text that needs to be readable. Tried out the different themes and did some tweaking but none seems to be satisfactory. Advice very welcome!

Hi Albo,

Have you considered adding the text as a title or caption instead of making it part of the image (if that is what you are currently doing)?

Some themes (e.g. Slide) crop or pad images to fit, while others (e.g. Thumblie) display them within a square box. You can choose the dimensions of this box in Document Settings. I generally choose the default option: Max 1024 x 1024 [Default], which actually creates an image that is fits into a 2048 x 2048 box. For some themes there is a checkbox called Image Passthroughs which causes the original image to be used

Thanks Jeremy! I found the Thumblie theme with its square box suiting best, if I first resample my images to these maximums. Used the inbuild captions and titles already, just a bit grumbly about the limited editing options there. Have to consider the default positioning with the images I choose f.e.
