Blogger Action Query

Hi guys

I have a little query. I’m experimenting with the Blogger Action Items and I have edited each item and made them look how I want them to, and I have clicked the button that says ‘Copy To Clipboard’ to which it says that I have to paste the code into the Edit Html section of my Blogger account.

I’m just wondering where it is that it is to be found as I’m looking all around my Dashboard and Settings but can’t find anything. Could someone please help me out with this one? I’d really appreciate it.

I’d also be intrigued to see other people’s sites where they have implemented this Action successfully to see how they’re using it.

Thanks

Steve.

Hi Steve

Go into your Dashboard and when that page comes up you’ll see a ‘New Post’ in a bright blue rectangle. Three along from that after ‘Edit Posts’ and ‘Settings’, you’ll see ‘Layout’. Click on that and it’ll take you to the template for your page. At the top of that page will be a subhead: ADD AND ARRANGE PAGE ELEMENTS. The ‘Edit HTML’ menu is in the bar just above the ‘ADD’ in that subhead.

Forgot to say, that is if you are using the Google Blogger.

You have to use the older blog format and you have to host it on
Blogger, not your own site. Although you still need to upload your
design to your own domain as well so that the Blogger-hosted template
can find the various images used in your layout.

For an example of this in use in a site, see
http://www.ma-publishing.com/ and click the Publishing Blog link. It
feels like you’re in the same site but, as the URL at the top of the
window shows, the blog page is hosted at blogger.com.

Thanks for the help guys, I’ll experiment with it later.

For now, I’ve just used the iFrame and put up the blogger site on my page, but carefully hidden the blogger bar at the top:

It doesn’t look as professional as the example you show thatkeith, but it’ll do me for now, but I will experiment with the Blogger Action more in the future.
