I am using a blog template that I like but would like to make slight alterations to it that can’t be done in Blogger. I’m sure I read somewhere that you can do this in FW. Is this true, and if so, how do I import it from Blogger please.

I don’t think you can per-say “import” an existing blogger template because the coding is handled differently. Might even be a daunting task to sit there and figure that all out. My suggestion would be to replicate it in Freeway (if it’s not copyrighted, not sure?) and then adjust it accordingly. The problem with the blogger actions are that they don’t allow adjustment for leading or padding adjustments, it’s just kinda “here ya go.” But if you know a bit of CSS the id’s and classes should be easy to see what is what and make it into what you’re looking for.

Thanks for that. I will just have to re design it as I don’t know anything about CSS.

With regards to padding on Blogger items try the following:

  1. Draw an HTML item (layer or table based)
  2. Double click inside the item and go to Insert>Action Item and
    choose a Blogger item
  3. Select the HTML item you drew in step 1 and give it an undefined
    height (by clicking on the Height icon) – This can be done in FW Pro
    only
  4. Give this item a padding of 10px (or a value of your choice) and a
    border so you can see it.
  5. Now make the Blogger item as wide and as high as the parent item.
    There will be no live preview, this is something we are looking into.
  6. Preview, the Blogger item will now have padding.
