Blue text with line under it

Hello

I’m having a little bit of a problem with the action ‘text link to new window’.

I’ve a line of text for Terms & Conditions at the bottom
of the page that I want to open in a new window with the ‘text link to new window’ action and next to that a line of text with a normal link to a ‘site map’ page, I want all the text to look the same, Font: Helvetica, Size: 11px, Style: Bold, Colour: 33333.

When I highlight the text I want opening in a new window
the copy becomes blue with a line under it!!!

Any ideas why this is happening??

Thanks in advance for your help.

If you add the Text Link to New Window Action to the page as a stand-
alone object, then it will take on whatever the base text style is
(probably from your browser – Freeway doesn’t set this style at all).
If you insert it as an inline object within a run of text (and make
sure to have at least a styled space on either side of it) then you
can apply any HTML style to it you like.

  1. Draw an HTML box on your page.
  2. Double-click inside it to get a text cursor.
  3. Type two spaces, then press the left arrow to move your cursor
    between them.
  4. From the main menu: Insert / Action Item / Text Link to New Window.
  5. Adjust the Action as desired.
  6. Triple-click in the surrounding HTML box to select all the text in
    that paragraph.
  7. Apply your style.

You can do these steps out of order, and if you already have a text
box, you can skip the first step altogether. The only thing to
remember is that you want to end up with the following:

[styled text or space] [Action Item] {styled text or space]

It’s an Action Sandwich! The styled characters on either side “carry”
the style across the Action, as an Action-item can’t be styled in
isolation. Also, don’t worry about adding a space before the Action if
you want it to butt up to the container – Freeway will strip it off
after it’s done its job of styling the Action-item.

Try removing all of the styles from the text in that HTML box, and
create a new set of link styles just for that box.

Select all the text, and press the [No Style] option in the top of the
Styles palette. Everything will become ugly. Now, select the box
itself (selection handles showing) and click on the Style tab of the
Inspector (paintbrush). In the Links segment, set your links to look
the way you like. Now, all links in that box will have the style you
are looking for. FInally, select all the text again and apply any
local styles you might want. Best to apply these as paragraph styles
if possible, it leaves the code the cleanest.
