Browser Autocomplete

You may only know the autocomplete attribute as something you want to set to “off” in order to prevent your users from giving away their credentials on a shared computer. But there was a fascinating talk at WWDC this year about how Safari can be integrated with native iOS applications to share credentials cross-platform (Web and native). Most of the talk had to do with the cryptographic bits that tie these together safely, but there was a fascinating bit late in the talk that dealt with how Safari uses the autocomplete attribute in an emerging standard way.
