I have designed the first page of my site and now I would like to set the browser background to a different color than the page background. How can I do this?

I can’t get it to work no matter what I do. I end up with a brown stripe in the middle of my page. I only have Photoshop Elements which can’t slice images so I found an online slicing program and used that so maybe that is the problem. I want a page that looks like my iWeb page but without the errors. http://www.beaded-baubles.com. There must be a simpler way!
