As you can see there are six buttons across the top of the header, each linked to slave text that comes up upon mouseover of the button
What I would like is for the left hand button (reviews) to be ‘on’ when page is loaded (with slave text showing) then as you move across the buttons, the slave text changes according to the button. Should be simple, but what I find, is if I do that, when I mouseover the ‘results’ button (the slave which is ‘on’ when the page loads), the text was disappearing completely as it turns ‘off’ but I only want the text to disappear if the mouse goes over a different button, not the one which was originally loaded.
To get it work at all I’ve had to use a workaround, where a different slave text is shown upon page load (not a slave to one of the buttons) and that switches off when mouseover goes near the buttons (I have a different rollover surrounding all of the buttons so it disappears when someone goes near the buttons). However, this complex workaround is not ideal, for something there should be a simple solution for. I want the ‘results’ text to load originally, not this other on I had to put in.
I’m not sure if I managed to explain the problem, may need to try again, but I’d be really grateful for any help here!
I’ve tried, but not with success and I wonder if I am using layers the wrong way?
I am just using show/hide layer as in having a rollover over each button and then giving giving the text to go with those rollovers - i.e. ‘slate’ 4, 5, 6 etc.
Is that different from when you say “Layer 1”
Should they all be grouped within one item or something like that?
Layer 1 would be your reviews layer at the bottom of a stack then bonuses, no deposit etc…
Each of these layers would have the Target show/hide layer action applied to it. The target numbering would correspond to the button that has the rollover that activates it.
So if Layer 1 is reviews then the target number for that would be 1 and the rollover on the reviews button would be set to Mouseover number 1 (using the same Target Group)
As it happens because Layer 1 is on view all the time you don’t have to set the Mouseover. But the principle is the same for all the buttons/layers.
The bottom layer is always visible but if you are activating one of the other buttons then the corresponding layer will hide the bottom layer (reviews)
