Cannot open recent files

How can I open recent files?
When I try to open them I get the following error message:

The document “name.intaglio” cannot be opened.
Error: (null)
File: SharedGraphicsData.mm
Line: 379

I event went straight to the files in their folder in the finder.

I have a number of advertisements created with Intaglio that will now need to be edited by others on Windows computers. Two questions:
What application for Windows is as easy to use as Intaglio and can open Intaglio files or file export from Intaglio?
What export format will work best?

Hoping some of you have encountered the same problem and can recommend a solution.

DG, It was not a reply to your question, but a new/y asked one. It was titled "Intaglio-friendly Windows application?” and not “Cannot open recent files.” I’m sorry I do not have any suggestions regarding your problem.

  1. Cannot open recent files.
No idea what went wrong here. You might consult Nick the developer
  2. Intaglio-friendly Window application.
Are you asking for a cross-platform file format? SVG and PDF would be my first choice - it depends on how complex your work contains filters and effects. I´m a heavy user of cross-platform open-source Inkscape.app in company with Intaglio. Affinity Designer is another alternative vector editing cross-platform software.

To Frank,

SVG was my choice of the best format for exporting the Intaglio Art, since the little experience I’ve had in importing PDF art was somewhat disappointing. Inkscape was on my list of applications to consider, so I thank you for the recommendation. The ads to be moved are carefully sized (full page, half page, quarter page) so they precisely fit the booklet template, so maintaining dimensional integrity is important. In your experience, is the size of a SVG graphic imported into Inkscape maintained? I haven’t considered Affinity Designer, but will.

To others,

Any more Inkscape votes for my needs? Any other favorites?

Thanks, Jack

In connection with your issue, you may find GraphicConverter useful.
It is primarily concerned with photographic images, but it can import and save
in a wide range of formats:

Can you edit SVG files with GraphicConverter on a Windows machine?

GraphicConverter is Mac software only.

I mentioned only because it might facilitate conversion between files exported
from Intaglio and editing software on other platforms.
