Can't Save .fwbackup File-No Privileges

I did a Mac OS update last night and this morning, one of my FW sites has gone bonkers. It appears to be only this one, and I don’t know if it was due to the update or something else. I modified the file 2 days ago and it was fine then, and I want to use the backup file, which looks good, but when I try to save it, I get a message that says “Could not save as ‘whatever I try to name it’ because you do not have the necessary access privileges. (-5000:114:11184)”

I only have one account on my computer and it’s the Admin account. I checked the file information and it’s set for Read & Write. Any suggestions?

Weird. I found out that the files inside the folder were set to Read & Write, but the folder itself was set to Read Only and my Admin account wasn’t even listed. I only checked it because when I tried to move the file out of the folder, it asked me to authenticate. Should have checked that when I checked the file info, but, well, I didn’t. I will if it ever happens again, though!

It occurs to me that sometimes file-privileges go bonkers!
Not FRW’s fault though, but good luck!

Very frequently system updates do reek havoc on permissions. Best thing to always do after system updates is to run the Disk Utlity app and Repair Permissions.

Boy, you’re right about that. Things are a bit of a mess here. I
didn’t know updates were doing that kind of thing. I have Macaroni
performing my daily, weekly, monthly tasks and never paid any
attention, but I had to wipe my hard drive about 10 days ago and
forgot to reinstall my trusty Macaroni. It’s performing it’s duties
right now, thank goodness.
