The web hosting company that I use allows multiple domain names to run on one account.
Recently I set up a new domain name in this manner, created a directory for that domain name, and set my new domain to point to that directory.
So far so good.
This particular site I wanted to have carousel running on the homepage. As soon as I add the carousel action and upload the whole page gets fouled up. All graphic items won’t display and the carousel won’t work.
What I’ve been able to figure so far is that when carousel is added it changes the way the site tries to reference its Resource folder. To get graphics to display, I have to delete the subdirectory, add a new one, and republish (without carousel added) Any ideas how I might fix this?
The url that I reference is the home page with no carousel action applied.
Whenever you publish from Freeway, you MUST set the site folder in the upload dialog so that the site root is whatever subfolder you have designated as your site root. You can’t add that subfolder in the Freeway site panel. You will hate what happens when you do that.
I think I need a remedial lesson in Freeway. I finally got it to work, by (like you said) uploading the new site into a sub folder on the root of my hosting-not into the public_html folder.
At any rate it works now, with an odd exception. When I applied the carousel tab action to the graphic icons, those icons then became distorted upon upload. I worked around this by sketching a blank graphic item over the button and applying the tab action to that.
