I just setup a Carousel window with a single pane and something is wrong. When I preview the action in Safari, both of the images are laid on top of one another and offset by about 1/8". The image tries to slide, but it only goes about 1/2", then stops, then backs up. Very weird. I’ve encountered this problem before but I forgot how I resolved it. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Make sure you have applied the Action to the entire element you want to animate. If you click on the top of the Site pane, the word Site will change to Page, and you’ll see a hierarchical list of all the elements on the current page. You’ll be able to see each of the panes quite easily, because either the Carousel or the Carousel Pane will be attached to it, and so they will have little yellow cog-shaped “badges” to indicate that they’ve been “actioned”. Click on the name in the list, and the element will highlight in the design view. If the entire pane doesn’t show handles and appear selected, figure out what IS being selected. Chances are the Action is applied to just one element within the pane. Note also that if you group a bunch of elements, or you nest elements inside one another, they will appear indented below their “parent” element.

Thanks for the advice on the Site pane. That makes things a LOT easier. I was able to get the combined text and graphic to work, but the ONLY way I can make the Carousel slide properly is by selecting [Page] [Page Actions] [Remove from Relative Page Layout].
There must be something else that I’m doing wrong. Could it be the type of page I’m using?
No, this is a known issue with Carousel. These elements cannot be anything other than absolutely positioned layers. RPL mucks with that at a level that the Action isn’t prepared to deal with.
