I recently switched my default browser from Safari to Chrome. I did this in large part because now that I’m working with WordPress I’ve effectively become a coding detective, which is a requirement when you need to find and target specific elements in a WP template.
However, in making the switch I’ve found that Chrome doesn’t handle bookmarks as cleanly as Safari. Are there any good Chrome extensions or apps that are better at organizing bookmarks?
But it is a tough step switching to WP and makes me a lil bit sad, honestly. And surprised! Cause WP is a lil beast to control, isn’t it? But I love this beast as well, which is mostly above my head and abilities though.
What exactly is it, making you guys dancing with it?

Hey Thomas,
It’s good to hear from you. First, I want to assure you that I haven’t abandoned Freeway Pro. WP is just another tool in the toolbox and is aimed at specific clients.
Yes, it’s a total beast and it has become very adept at kicking my ass, but I am enjoying the experience and ease of use. Here are a few of my latest WP websites. The first one was relatively easy, the second was way more involved, but I’m learning a lot.
I did, but I prefer to get recommendations from people I trust and avoid the frustration of trying something nobody knows anything about . Hope you’re doing well.
One of the most exciting lessons I’ve ever took, was creating my english based page including theLounge. Mostly because I created the theme in Freeway - including the very basic functions turning this into a WP-theme.
Naturally I should work further on this but have in all honesty not really the time for.
But now, that you know both products, it would be cool if you have another look into the video series (7 episodes) I created once on this to be found on my videos section. I’m always interested in additional inputs:
Hey Kelly, I’m using a Chrome extension called Snooze which let’s me “snooze” browser tabs for a period of time. I’m like the millennials apparently in that I prefer tabbed browsing and was looking for a way to organize my researching. Not the best solution but I like it.
On the Safari side (still my favorite browser for many reasons) there is the Reader function (I guess it’s called, the thing with the glasses?). I save my tabbed reading there to go back to it, since I don’t use it for anything else.
Also, I use a Mac app called Pocket, which has do-hickies for both Chrome and Safari to save bookmarks to. Certain article types that come up in my iPad newsfeed get saved there for later browsing at the iMac.
So check those out and see what you think. In my book, whatever works is all I need.
