ckedit in webyep

Has anyone used CKEdit (formally FCKEdit) in WebYep I just can’t get it to show even though it’s supported.

Hi Richard
All you need to do is place your preferred editor like TinyMCE or in your case CKEditor inside the opt folder which is in the program folder which in turn is in the webyep-system folder.
Remember that the whole folder thats downloaded needs to go in the opt folder and not just the editor… plus if this download has been renamed in anyway then webyep will not see it.
So if you are downloading the file into you downloads folder and you already have a version of ckeditor still in the downloads folder then the new one will have been re-named.

I have FCKEditor (the older version) in use successfully on a couple
of web sites - mainly because I had problems with TinyMCE being
recognised! Just do as Max says.

Hi Guys,
I have set up several sites using WebYep and Max’s actions for various clients mainly using FCKEditor and TinyMCE - and yes I have always placed them in the OPT folder and have never had any problems. I have placed a fresh version, exactly as is of CKEditor into the OPT folder and it doesn’t show - all that does is the standard WebYep Rich Text element. I know according to OBDEV it should work. I am just wondering wether there is any other setting I am missing.

Thanks,
Richard

Hi Max,
Here’s a link to a cms test page on the site:
http://www.jftvideoproductions.co.uk/test.php
The version of WebYep System is v1.5.0

Thanks,

Richard

Please note that 1.5.0pre1 currently is a prerelease (showing the multi-login feature) and does not support CKEditor.
