Yes, use the Fill Master action. You can do so by creating a graphic item (blank, for example) and then applying the Fill Master action to it. Select Linear or whatever from the drop down…select the two colors…and bam…gradient.
Make sure that the graphic item has no background color.

Thanks, but there is nothing listed in Help section called FillMaster. I found Fillmaster under Actions, but it just defaults my graphic to red, without allowing me to control it.

Look further in the Actions palette; Fillmaster is VERY adjustable,
any colour you like

Are you going up to the menu bar and under Windows, opening the
Actions Window?

Got it – thanks. It never said anywhere to just keep the actions window open to control various actions. Now I know.
