You need to sign up on the Disqus site for an account, and then register each site you want to track comments on. When you do that, you will see a lot of different examples of code to add to your site. There are plug-ins for WordPress and other blogging engines, but there is a set of generic JavaScript for everyone else to use.

If you don’t have it already, download my Crowbar Action from ActionsForge and install it before you proceed.

Copy that line of JavaScript, draw an HTML box where you want the comments to appear, double-click inside that box and choose Insert / Action / CrowBar from the main menu. Click once on CrowBar, and in the Actions palette, click the Code button and paste in your JavaScript.

(I haven’t done this in a while, but I believe that each code is specific to one server. You won’t be able to see your comments unless the site is hosted from the server you registered.)
