Copying your site from the web

Probably a silly question but here goes…

A third party is using my ftp details to carry out some seo work / changes on my site.

They are going to tell me what changes they have made and when they are complete.

They have told me to take a copy of the site from the net when they have made the changes…

Can you upload a copy of a freeway site from the net ???

No, this person doesn’t understand how Freeway works. This method
would work just fine with Dreamweaver, which actually reads and writes
the HTML files. But Freeway generates the html files in a one-way
process, and only reads (and updates) its own proprietary file format
with the results of those changes. Think of the Freeway document as
the recipe for making the site. The actual HTML files themselves are
an output-only artifact, like printed pages are to a word-processing
application’s document.

If they document for you exactly what changes they made, you could
open up your latest Freeway document and duplicate those changes in
the Freeway interface. But the next time you upload from Freeway, any
changes you haven’t duplicated in this manner will be overwritten.
