"Could not save" error message

Mountain Lion crashed today, and after restarting, I get this message when trying to save. Everything seems to be fine. I opened the backup file, and get the same message. Any ideas?

Could not save as ‘filename.freeway’ because file not found. (-43:114:9676)

Thanks, David

Addendum-I also reinstalled the software… no difference.

I wasn’t working on the computer at all, just streaming music via AirPlay when I noticed the music stopped. Went downstairs and found the computer non-responsive. Had to hold in the power button to shut down. Since then, I’ve been getting the error. Tried saving in different folder, different name… resources all seem to be okay… “File not found” is a little vague.

I opened another site, made a change, and it saved properly.

Hi David,

Try opening the Edit>Resources menu with the file open and clicking the Resample All button. If that doesn’t fix the problem, send the file over to support(a)softpress.com and we’ll see if it’s recoverable.

Joe,

Resampling didn’t help. This is a multi-year, photo diary project that weighs in at 901MB… the working file, not the published site. Is there anything else I can try before I try sending that in? Any indication as to what kind of file is missing?

Thanks, David

I just went through the site and started deleting large blocks of it. After deleting the files for 2004, it saved. I going to go through that section and see if I can find the offending file.

Thanks again David

That didn’t work, but I also didn’t start by resampling. Starting over…

That didn’t work either. If I delete almost everything, it will save, so there’s clearly a widely used file it thinks is missing. However all my resources say OK after resampling. Is there anyway to determine from the error message which file that might be?

Another piece of information… it apparently publishes fine.

Joe,

If I delete parts of the site, eventually I can save it. However, if I opened the saved file, then try to save again, I still get the same error message.
As I said, this file is large… what’s the best way to send it to you?

Thanks, David
