When using this action is it OK to use a table to build the email within? Is it more than OK -is it a good idea in fact? Or is just not necessary and just as good to build it as a regular table layout - ie without the CCS Button on.? Are there pros and cons for these two build methods?

Using the table tool in Freeway should be reserved for tabular data – a spreadsheet for example, or the labels for form elements.
But for layouts, just turn off the CSS layout and let Freeway write it for you. It almost never does a bad job from the browser’s point of view.
