A diseaster. Meanwhile I „just“ rebuilded 3-4 sites. Which was the only solution - on my costs - I could find to satisfy clients.
BUT:
In these days I encountered the problem again on an other site, like the others I eventually started in earlier versions of FW ( 7.1.2.) and step by step upgradet: the css hamburger would not open the menu. I tried to make a fresh start, rebuild the site in FW 7.1.4…
BUT:
The css menu action palette does not even show the responsive extra options in FW 7.1.4. (hamburger etc.) This is new to me.
It is ok in FW 7.1.3. though, also the hamburger shows the menu too, when clicked.
In some older sites the existing css menu works in FW 7.1.4., but can not tell why or what the rule is.
Can you please give my some hints how I can try to get FW 7.1.4. running again?
New install of the app? How would I do it? If yes, from where I could get the installer? (Not just the app button) How would I do it? How I can get rid of the corrupted version before without to delete some older FW versions I still work with?
Exchange the css menu action in FAST folder ? How would I do it properly? From where would I get the right and actual action?
Any other ideas?
I am looking forward to it! I do have a lot of pressure concerning my clients and simply no clue where to start and I am afraid to make something even worse. That’s the reason for asking so stupid questions.

Meanwhile I have reinstalled FW 7.1.4… Now I can build a fresh css menu again. But still the css menu action fails in the old FW files. I keep up rebuilding the site from scratch. Annoying, but I am glad that THIS is still working in general.

Do you have a small (or cut-down) document that shows the problems you are having?
If you put one somewhere (e.g. on Dropbox) and email me a link and some instructions on how to reproduce the problem (emailing to: support at softpress dot com), I can take a look at it.
Freeway has a Save Archive option which will gather any resources that are needed to go with the document.

You have an Action applied to your Site folder that is called Scroll to Top. If you remove this Action, the hamburger menu starts working - so it seems to be an Actions conflict between CSS Menus and the Scroll to Top Action.
I’m not sure what this Action does, exactly. It says it’s version 1.4 and is copyright Tim Plumb, but I don’t see it on his Actions web site ( www.freewayactions.com ). Maybe there is a newer version of this Action?

this is good news. It seem to work at first sight with another website that had that same error. I will further test it in the next days on other sites.
In fact I had tested it all widely earlier, I also deleted all actions. Nothing worked then. I even send it to a colleague with no success.
Perhaps it’s the fresh install of the FW apps from yesterday too? Who knows.

I don’t remember exactly how I did get the action from Tim. I think I had contact with him some years ago. I don’t know if there is a newer action. In fact it is/was a super action to create easily „back to top“ buttons.
