CSS Menus in EE problem or something else?

Hi using the FW CSS menu and EE.

An odd thing is happening, after clicking a menu item it takes you to that page fine but then if you click the same menu item - ie the same page - you get an odd error.

The url changes to www.mydomain.com/level/level/
(what is level/level?)

and an error message…

< The requested URL was not found on this server. >

Clearly I’ve messed up. But where?

Ben

Strange. Are you sure that that text or image is linked properly? I find that it’ll only show that message if there’s no link there in the first place.

Are you using Joe’s latest actions that were released just a short while ago?

Do you have a sample page or something to look at to see if the link is truly linked to something?

I believe the level/level is how the URL is setup. Obviously when it comes to EE the url goes:

http:// domain.com / template_group / template_name

so I assume the level and level would be those substituted above.

Maybe I’m setting the menus up wrongly when using EE?

Links in EE can cause some confusion indeed. Links can be ‘created’ by EE and point to non existing ‘pages’. I think I noticed that your link actually points to an anchor. If that anchor is on the same page, you’ll end up with this mysterious level/level thing. Level is related to the directory structure of your FW files on the server compared to the location of your main index . php (I hope I explained that well, Joe ?

An update.

I’ve used relative links in the EE CSS menu and the problem goes.

BUT

This introduces anew issue that the menu stops highlighting the page you are on!

One light bulb on. One light bulb off.
