Customer Login & Profile

I am building a store using FWP5 with Mal’s. My client wants a log-in page where customers can create a My Profile account via her website. Such log-in must allow customers to choose their unique User ID name and password. I would like for this page to integrate into my FW design.

The My Profile account will allow customers the ability to store and update their personal information, check order status, track order shipping, & review order history. I assume the customer’s personal information page will be a PHP forum or something of that nature. Once new information or updates submitted, a static page should appear showing the submitted information. How do I make this possible? I also need to secure each page (https://).

I found this in several FW threads - Buy Membership Software and Systems Online UK | Vibralogix - is this a solution for my needs?

Whatever the solution may be, it needs to be capable of logging/storing a large quantity of information.

I also read that one can make a protected folder on the server provided by a legit hosting service company. The folder can act as a safe haven for documents, whatnot. I’m not 100% sold on this idea.

Any ideas or suggestions on what will best fit my technical needs and my client’s operation needs?

Best, Doc

Hi Doc,
I can’t really comment Sitelok but all I can suggest is to take a look here http://codecanyon.net/searches?term=login&type=files

I personally like “PHP Login & User Management” but your needs maybe different?

All the best,

Pete

I have used this before - Member Login Script | PHP Login Script | PHPJabbers

Uses a php include, with one line of code in your FW page

I use Sitelok on my site and it works for just simple member logins and what not. If you wanted to store product histories and what not then sure Sitelok would work for you, however it might be difficult for shipping information and what not right out of the box.

You might want to contact Vibralogix and see if Sitelok would work for you or check out one of the other alternatives that is posted here. Much like Marcel’s post, Sitelok is just a one snippet of code and you’re set which is much better than managing user accounts on a password protected folder. Might as well go with a manager if you plan on going big.
