Started to use the program today and all of a sudden my icons in the tool bar for the selection tools ( Arrows) are missing from the tool bar. The first two icons. Help!!!
Mmmh - not quite sure what you´re talking about.
The toolbar bar can be customized or totally hidden. Either select the oval button at the upper right hand corner or a rightclick->“Customize Toolbar” on the bar itself.
When you lost “S” (Selection Tool) and “X” (Point Selection Tool) I have no clue how this could happen.
Restart the machine. If the problem persists, open the Disk Utility application (Applications>Utilities) and click ‘Verify Disk Permissions’. When that’s complete, click ‘Repair Disk Permissions’. I always do this when strange things happen. It seems to work, but I’ve no idea why!
Another common faultfinding technique is to trash the preferences. The problem is finding them. OSX puts files all over the place. There’s a preferences file here:
Macintosh HD>Users>YourName>Library>Preferences. Find the file ‘com.PurgatoryDesign.intaglio.plist’ and drag it to the Trash.
Hi Kenny. I’ve also got the same problem (having just updated to Lion).

This is too weird! I opened my Intaglio today, and I am missing the selection icons also. Must somehow be a product bug. Even though you cannot view the icon. The button still operates the selection tools as designed.
My Selection Tool and Point Selection Tool icons are missing, too. I tried repairing permissions with no luck. If you trash the preference files in the user library, you have to re-enter your registration number. Nothing seems to work–except the tools still work even thought their icons are missing.
I haven’t found a cure yet, I guess as long as I know what was there and they work that is the main thing. I just like for it to be there as it should be. I wish it was easy to get ahold of Intagilo to find out what can be done, that seems impossible, Kenny C

OS X Lion 10.7.3 Update changed the pointers/cursors to a higher resolution image… which , by the way, hints at new resolution ‘Retina’ screens coming soon.
I’ve been having this problem for over a year now and I think it started when a bad font was installed, I currently don’t have any bad fonts installed, but it still continues.
It may be you are running an old version of Intaglio.
Best.

I have the latest version of both Intaglio and Freeway, but it’s in Freeway where this persists, I can’t be the only one having this problem, as a few have said above.
