once I attach the scripty on the larger image and not on the list item box (target) nothing happens. The web link is nowhere since I removed it from list item box
I am not understanding this action… where does the web address link go?

Look at my example again. Scripty is not applied to the image - it is applied to the html container that the image is in.
The image has a normal hyperlink attached to it.

I redid everything larger image graphic in and html box, applied the weblink to the large graphic, applied scripty to the html box all good
I redid list items and just linked to each page instead of target image blah
all works fine BUT the same problem with the NY Times article once it loads completely the close option goes away
so thanks at least I have applied action correctly but problem persists

I cannot study the NYT page but it may have code that prevents it from being displayed in an iFrame like this.
I dont think it is a problem with the action itself.

I think you will find it works in the majority of sites - this is likely an exception.
