Dithering Logo

Hi All,
I am trying to place a company logo in a graphic box. However, when I do that the edges of the logo get dithering and not as sharp as the original logo. I have tried to use jpg and png and got the same result. How can I make the logo as sharp as the original design ???

Can we see the original and/or an online example.

This may be a graphic type or anti-alias issue.

Right. There may be a big difference between importing your image as Pass
Through vs. having Freeway create an image from your image (not Pass
Through).

the logo is not as smooth as the original one. I think you can see that.
The original graphic is very very good and very smooth.
The Big Ern: what is the difference between importing as Pass Through vs. Freeway create ??? I used the import in a graphic box and this is what I got.

In addition, I think you can see the difference in color between the BYD logo and the phrase “Build your dream” the difference in color is obvious. However both colors are identical in both original files.
Why is that ???

When you import a graphic into Freeway Pro, you basically have a choice
whether to have FWP leave the image alone (Pass Through), or to edit and
re-publish it as a jpg, png or gif. You can see this when you first import
the image - in the Import image dialog window is a checkbox near the bottom
to choose.

Freeway Pro has some built-in graphic tools to crop and modify imported
images, but when the Pass Through option is chosen FWP basically leaves
that image alone and just copies it to the Resources folder as is. Here is
what the inspector allows for a Pass Through image

However, when the Pass Through option is left unchecked, the image can be
resized, cropped, given some effects and such. FWP the re-saves the
alterations in one of the three web formats it outputs - here are the
controls for that

Honestly, most of my images are Pass Throughs because I am more comfortable
manipulating images with Photoshop, but there are plenty others here who
can give you more advice on using images in Freeway Pro.

I would be using that logo as a gif.
