I was watching a few of Thomas’s screencasts on box model design, which are very good, and in Screencast #008 he recommends setting PNG graphics to millions. I find that PNG file sizes can get quite large so I rarely set my PNG graphics to millions. Am I missing something here?
Also, I’m curious to know how many people select Separate Resources Folder. I usually select Common, but again perhaps I’m missing something.
Only set PNG images to millions when you need to, like when you need good transparency. You can sometime improve an image by using JPEG and upping the quality a little from 75% to 85%. A little trial and error goes a long way.
