Drop down menu issue!

Building a drop down menu and playing around at the moment, however having an issue when rolling out at the top where the nav tabs have corrosponding drop downs.

I created it in 4Pro, yes not 5 I know… can anyone shed any light on my dielemma!

Are you using the Rollover Action and the Hide Slaves/Slave Show/Hide
Layer Action?

If so you need to make sure your large item in the back of the page is
protruding out the top of the rollovers so when you roll off them it
triggers the slaves to disappear.

Let me know if you are using a different method.

I haven’t looked at your site, but just out of curiosity, is your menu bar smack tight to the top of the screen? If so, the mouseout event never fires, because your mouse leaves the window, and that doesn’t count (to JavaScript) as leaving the menu. If you provide even just one pixel of space between the top of your menu bar and the window border, it should work.

Ok think I may have fixed it!

It was an issue with the ‘hide slaves’ on the main nav buttons, I tried setting it to a slave that doidn’t exist and viola!

What do they say… if its not broke, don’t fix it!

I created this is 4Pro, what are the advantages over this in 5?

Is it simply ease and speed!

Wow, you type quick Walt! Good stuff as I’d expect!

Yes I am using that method ‘old chestnut’! ha

No I understand what your implying, however the nav bar is more than 100px down from the top, but I didn’t even think of that - will bare that in mind if I ever wish to have this type of drop down flush against the top of the screen!

Will post up my site so far see what you think!
