Dupliacate information on a different domain

Hi all.

We have been asked to use the layout and information of a website we produced for another company and rebrand it with a different company name, contact details etc etc and upload to a different domain in the land down under. Both companies are owned by the same client, so there is nothing dodgy, but I was just wondering how Google views such things?

Thanks in advance.

First off. Sorry about the spelling of duplicate.

That makes very interesting reading and I didn’t consider checking out the Google support pages. Thanks for that, Nathan.

Looks as though we will be able to tell the client we need to put together a completely different site, which will be tricky because the content is going to be virtually identical!

Has anybody had to do anything similar?
