What is the best ecommerce method to do something like this? as you all know I am a huge ecwid person and would love to do it in ecwid but unsure if it is doable. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
doubtful Julie, at least in the free ECWID version. But interesting point. Wouldn’t it be better asked in ECWID Forums or maybe Eugene could figure out?
Per ecwid on FB, it can be done -but words for colors not a swatch. here is there example.
so there is hope for it. I was unsure if there was a way that a swatch can be added to the word or have an area of swatches seen as someone is looking at the couch.
SO I wanted to send it out to you guys to see what you can suggest.
@Marcel, Thank you I will look into it.
Julie

not in the FREE version of ECWID, cause this is a combination of product options only available in Silver Account since V7.
I agree, that wording will be a nightmare with more then 4 or 5 collors and swatching would do the game much easier, but as I said: doubtful form the box.
Marcel - this is looking not too bad and well worth to give a try.
I am getting my ducts in a row to present it to him.
Thank you

OpenCart is a standalone Shopping Cart. You download and install the cart to your server and change the design by reworking the CSS. You can get a lot done look and feel wise by reworking the css. Use a css editor like CSS Edit - http://macrabbit.com/cssedit/
You might need some tweaking on the php template files but their forum is very helpful and a lot of people have already asked the questions that you will be asking.
