Embed a blog within a site action?

I think your best bet is to use the iFrame action
Insert the action and then apply the url of the WordPress blog to the action.

Cheers

Ok, I’m real interested in this one. Before I mess around with this action, does it apply to any blog or just wordpress? I use Typepad for my primary blog.

I have to mention that ever since I started the blog as a companion to the website, traffic has increased tremendously across both. That plus adding RSS feed to the website. I saw a total 50% increase in traffic within two months. 20% from the blog and 30% from the RSS feed.

Good stuff.

Never mind. I just tried it on my test site and it’s AMAZING!! An incredibly clean and neat piece of work. Plus I downloaded the Freeway Pro 5.2 update first just to be safe. Which seems to speed up loading and processing.

Good work folks!

Hi all! I´m desperately trying to embed my typepad blog into my freeway 5 website.

I did insert the iframe action and then applied the URL of my typepad blog to the action.

But instead of getting what Rocky Slaughter posted above, i just get the normal typepad blog page within my website.

Does this have to do with the templates? And how did you guys manage to do this on your pages?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

The iframe Action simply cuts a hole into your Freeway page and fills
it with the content of whatever remote site you point it at. It’s
precisely the same thing as a regular frameset, only less complex and
optimized for a single use-case – making a sort of “picture frame”
around foreign content.

The Blogger actions go at the problem from 180° away. Instead of
bringing a blog into a Freeway site, they use Freeway to generate the
template parts that are used to decorate a blog within the blog’s
content-generation system. When you use the Blogger Actions, at the
end, you publish a large lump of HTML which contains placeholder text
– and code – and you paste that HTML/code into a form field on the
Blogger site. This creates the look and feel for Blogger to use when
compositing your blog page. That composition process all happens on
the Blogger servers.

Thnx for your answer, Walter!

That`s what I did first. Built a Freeway Page, inserted the Blogger actions and finally pasted the HTML Code to Blogger. The website is displayed as I hoped it would be, but when one clicks on e.g. comments one is redirected to the blogger page without the Freeway Site look.

This is why i tried the tip of Helvetivus (above) and inserted iframe, pasted the typepad URL I have into the iframe action and hoped this would act as described above and in their examples, but nope…

Still looking for help!
