error in PHP Make Insert Page

I get an error, related to the action PHP make Insert Page. Worse, a previous site that worked well last week now shows the same error.
I’m running FW 5.4.3, and I downloaded the latest build of the action, but no improvement.
Error message:

divtag["id" has no properties

In the code it points to:

myID=divtag["id].toString();

Another message says that this is “a known error”

Anyone? Thanks!

Soemone else that recognises this issue? I almost believe it occurred after my latest update of MacOSX -->10.6.4.

PMIP hasn’t changed in years, and it’s a single file Action, so there shouldn’t be any installation or migration issued – it could be successfully embedded in a document by Freeway, for example – so no, I haven’t seen anything happen with this one. Have you tried removing it from the document and from your Actions folder, publishing the page, and then re-installing it and adding it back to the pages of the problem document? Also, does the problem travel into a new blank site generated in a different FW document?

Walter

Hi Walther

Thanks for replying.
I suddenly remembered that the problem occurred when duplicating an existing site in order to make another one with almost the same set-up. Maybe the computer forgot a bit or two while I was so lazy…

Because: Problem gone after:

I removed the action from the pages, saved, and stopped FW. Removed the action from the Library, installed a fresh copy and added the Action to the page.

Some hickup of a nasty kind.

Thanks again.

Sorry Walter, still something very strange with this action.

I managed first, but then I got the error again.
Removed from page, save, install action again. Same error. Removed, installed again, applied the action to one (of four) pages, upload OK, second, upload OK, third: error again.

I really do not know what to do now.

Hope you read this, and can give some advise.

Thanks.

You might want to create a failing document of one or two pages,
bundle it up with your version of the Action, and send it to
support(a)softpress.com They do love a good alien autopsy over there.
I’m at my wits’ end what it could be from here. In my experience, it
Just Works™. Granted I haven’t tried using it with 5.5 yet.

I’m wondering if there are other Actions being used on the page which could be interfering with this Action’s business?

Hi Paul

No other actions, very simple pages, just some MarkUp items. I even made all the pagas again from scratch, nothing helped. I can have up to two pages with this action, but at the third the error comes. Does not matter which one is the third.
I use these pages as embeds in an EE build. (Header, Footer LeftColumn and RightColumn) For now I’ve made a workaround, using regulair Templates for these elements (in stead of templates as Files) so I can continue with the site. But strange it is. I wait now from answer fron Softpress.

@Paul; my humble apologies, there was indeed another action to an element in that page (I understood your comment as attached to that page, which is not the case) and I completely overlooked it.

Anyway, sometimes it’s hard to see if, and where are Actions attached to.

I got help from SoftPress (Simon Manning) and the problems could be gone if the action PHP make Insert Page gets changed a bit.

@Walter, can you please get in contact with me, I have the changed action here, which I would very much like send to you.
