Exhibeo 1.0.3

Hi FreewayTalkers,

We’ve just pushed out a minor update (1.0.3). We’ve fixed an issue with colors in IE, background colors for the Slide theme and a couple other things. Open Exhibeo and Check for Updates to get the latest version.

Enjoy,

Dear,
I thank you for your fast answer,but please check on my we site,and go to
pictures,their should be around 20pics,and I can only see 2 of them in the
main window.
Once I click on them I can scroll and see them all.
I don’t know how that comes,and I just downloaded your new upgrade.
Hoping to hear from you soon

Best Regards,

Hello Joe,

I appreciate your continued work on Exhibeo.
I will continue to use showcase until there is an option on the Bloxx
template to just go right to the photo gallery and bypass the one image
you have to click on first.
I really like Exhibeo because it displays the photos so so much quicker.
But I want it to act like Showcase and only display all the thumbnails
immediately.

Blessings,

Hi Jerry,
Until Softpress get a chance to update the theme you can try either the Exhibeo Extras Action;
http://actionsforge.com/actions/view/276-exhibeo-extras

or if you’re not using Freeway simply paste the following code into the head of your site;
http://www.freewayactions.com/code/?f=Auto-Open-for-Exhibeo.txt

Either way the code will seek out the first Bloxx or Focus gallery on your web page and will automatically open it after a specified delay. If you are using the code the delay is currently set to 2000 (2 seconds) and gives the page long enough to load before the gallery opens.

I hope this helps.
Regards,
Tim.

Tim, doesn’t Exhibeo use jQuery? If so, you could just wrap this in a document.ready() and not worry about the setTimeout.

Hi Tim,

Thanks so much for your response.
It sounds like this action is exactly what I need.
I downloaded and installed the action you had the link for. I am importing
the gallery into Freeway through the action.
The part that I am still unsure of is “where do you set the delay so it
will bypass the initial image”?
I don’t see anything that will allow me to do that.

Blessings,

Hi Walter,
Of the four themes currently in the app only two (Focus and Impress) use jQuery. I guess I could swap the Action code if the theme was using jQuery but to be honest the amount of code the Action adds is minimal and I don’t really expect the Action to have a long shelf life once these additions make it back into the core themes.
Regards,
Tim.

Hi Jerry,

Assuming you are using Freeway;

  1. Download and install the Action. It sounds like you already have this done.
  2. On your Exhibeo page add the Exhibeo Extras Action using Page > Actions > Exhibeo Extras
  3. Open the Actions palette (Window > Actions) and check the “Auto open Bloxx and Focus galleries” checkbox
  4. Add the required delay (in seconds) before the gallery automatically opens or leave the value set to two

Preview your page in a browser and the gallery should open up after the required delay.

If you are NOT using Freeway;

  1. Shame. Try Freeway it really is rather good! :slight_smile:
  2. Add the code provided in my last email to the head section of your Exhibeo html page
  3. Change the 2000 figure to the number of milliseconds before the gallery automatically opens (seconds x 1000)
  4. Open your HTML page in a browser and the gallery should automatically open after the defined delay

If you get stuck let me know and I’ll post an example for you to play with.
Regards,
Tim.

Just double-click on the action icon… that will automatically launch freeway and tell you that you’re about to install the action.
