Exhibeo not working for me

Hi,

This is my first attempt at using Exhibeo.

I’ve created a file using export to Freeway.
I’ve added the action to an element, imported the file.

When I preview, I just get 4 boxes, the missing images boxes with '?'s in.

My freeway file is using ‘Backdraft’ I’ve followed Calebs instructions and checked them twice.

Any ideas?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Neil

I looked at your link, and indeed something is way off. The boxes of ? question marks is the browser’s way of saying "hey, I can’t find that image where I was told it was at. The code for a single thumbnail looks like this:

It looks like all the thumbnails strung together. This is not normal behavior for Exhibeo, so something else must be happening. I suggest that you contact Softpress directly and be prepared to share your files with them.

Short of deleting all your output folder files and regenerating them again with a fresh publish, I don’t know what else to do.

Thanks for your response. It helped me resolve the issue !

I noticed the name of the file for which you posted the’ img src’ looked a little dodgy, too many '.'s

I changed the name of the files I imported into Exhibeo and it worked.

My Exhibeo 2 is not working properly with my Mac Pro laptop. I am also using the latest Freeway Version.713. When I export from Exhibeo 2 to Freeway it acts normal as I post it to the page. However, when I check it out after uploading the page I get crash symbols for each photo I uploaded.

I had to go back to using Exhibeo 1 in order to get the proper images on the website.

same thing happened to me but here its instruct from Joe as they failed to mention this step in the launch directions… all works perfectly…
"In all the excitement yesterday I failed to mention that you will need to upgrade your Exhibeo Action to the latest version when using Exhibeo in Freeway. To do this, do the following:

Go to the Help menu in Exhibeo 2
Select “Install Freeway Action for Exhibeo”
Sorry about that! Joe"

The thing that stumped me for awhile was when I went to the Actions menu the Exhibio 1 was at the top and I finally found the Exhibio 2 action at the bottom of the list.

After installing the E2 action what Joe didn’t mention is there are TWO Exhibeo action in the drop down - make sure you use Exhibeo 2 action as the old one still exists (1.0.6 and it does not update to 2) The Exhibeo 2 call to action is right at the bottom of the long drop down. Assume this is so E1 sites still work.

As a heads up you’ll get a JS error is you try to use old and new.

Another hour of my life I won’t get back - along with the burger menu voyage of discovery.
